It' been another fun and exciting week at Harding middle school as we race towards the end of the quarter. We have one week of classes and grades left before first quarter grades are finalized, so we encourage everyone to finish strong. But this final week will be no ordinary week - it's packed in fun! Homecoming week begins Monday on the Cherry Road campus, and we hope to see all of our students participate in the creative dress up days. On Monday, wear your pajamas to school. On Tuesday, dress up as a Hippie or Hipster. On Wednesday, impersonate your favorite television show character from your earlier years. On Thursday, suit up as your favorite hero.

On Friday, things get really interesting. We celebrate the end of the quarter with an all-day Fun Day! All students should come to school in their House shirts. They may wear shorts, but they must not be too tight, immodest, or shorter than fingertips when arms are relaxed at your sides. If you are unsure about your shorts, ask a teacher. We will finish the quarterly House points competition with a tons of games and activity. Plus, we'll be joined by Harding 5th and 6th graders, who will be sorted into Houses for the day to get the middle school experience. After a morning of games and a pizza lunch, we'll go to the Homecoming assembly and see skits from the 9th-12th graders, as well as their CUP routines, before participating in the pep rally. (Students who wish to change into their Homecoming Glow Up shirt for the assembly may do so after our pizza lunch. We do need students to bring snack and drinks for our Fun Day. Each House has been assigned a different item to bring.

Church House - Bottled Water
Grit 'n' Grind House - Powerade
Rendezvous House - Sweet Snacks
River House - Sweet Snacks
Stax House - Salty Snacks
Wells House - Salty Snacks

Please make sure snacks are individually packaged for easy snacking. Please bring a minimum of a 6-count Powerade, or a 12-count water. All snacks should be deposited in Mrs. Hendrix's middle school lab.

Finally, keep an eye on our photos tab, as we add new photos to existing galleries, as well as new galleries fairly regularly. Hope to see everyone in pajamas on Monday!
