Awards Day

posted Apr 25, 2017, 1:40 PM by Scott Frizzell
Today, the upper and middle school celebrated academic awards day. This is a special day to honor students based upon their academic achievement. We try to honor our students for all their achievements (academic, athletic, artistic). Congratulations to all of our winners, and especially to Tessa M. and Jonah S. for winning the prestigious faculty award for Christian leadership. Pictures of all award winners should be available on the school website soon.

Be sure to swing by Thursday evening at Sisson Gym for the year-end Art Show. Many pieces by our middle school art students will be on display as well as some excellent work from upper school students. It's always a wonderful evening.

Of course you may not have time to make it to the art show if you're watching one of our middle school spring sports teams. They are all entering tournament play within the next week as they wrap up their seasons. We are proud of their hard work and success this year, and we wish them all the best in their tournaments.

Lastly, a special shout-out to Mrs. Arnett's seventh grade science class, who created a larger-than-life periodic table in our middle school hallway (pictured). Students researched each element, and each square opens up to reveal further information. The activity was a hands-on way to experience an important building block for future science classes.
