It's almost time for one of my favorite traditions in middle school, the Harding Bible Ceremony. Please see the information below from our Bible Department Chair Mr. Jason Knight outlining some important details about the ceremony. We hope to see you there! "On Tuesday morning, September 26, 8:00–9:00 a.m., in the Emmons Auditorium, the Harding Academy Middle School will welcome this year’s sixth and seventh graders to Cherry Road with one of our most cherished traditions, the Sixth and Seventh Grade Bible Ceremony. Each sixth and seventh grader will be presented with a personalized leather Bible in a formal reverse-graduation-style ceremony. Mr. Paul Fisher, our academic supervisor and sixth grade Social Studies teacher, will remind us all what a special gift we have been given in God’s word. For family members who are not able to attend, we will take photographs of all sixth and seventh graders receiving their Bibles. Students should wear their regular school uniforms; the more formal oxford shirt and tie for boys and three-quarter sleeve blouse for girls are no longer required but can be worn if so desired. If your schedule allows, you are invited to join us for this special occasion. The academic education your child will receive in the next few years is important; their spiritual education is crucial. Thank you for allowing us to serve your family, to the glory of God the Father." |
