The past two weeks have witnessed the launch of the middle school football, volleyball, and cross country seasons. The football team is 2-0 following victories over St. George's and FACS. On Thursday, September 1 Malik Y. sealed a tight victory over FACS with a Pick-6, returning an interception in the dying moments of the game all the way for a touchdown. Middle school volleyball also claimed victory last week, defeating Fayette Academy on Tuesday in straight sets. Finally, on Wednesday, the middle school cross country team started their season strong with a great meet at Shelby Farms. Every runner on the team earned a personal record (PR) and earned House points. Meanwhile, middle school has students competing up a division on the JV and Varsity Volleyball and Soccer teams. As we truly begin to enter the heart of the seasons for these sports, we'll be watching with excitement for further fireworks.
