News and Notes

As third quarter draws towards a close, here are a few important notes to go over.

1. We just completed our last Friday Fun Day of the quarter, with another round of Fridditch. We enjoyed beautiful weather Friday, and Houses finally started to implement some strategy, now comfortable enough with the rules of a rather complex game. Congrats to Rendezvous and Wells on their victories. Grit 'n' Grind and Church played to a draw. The Fridditch season is nearly over, and we will crown an inaugural season champion relatively soon.

2. On Saturday, Arden F., Anna Z., Kendall L., Courtney S., and Taylor P. represented Harding middle school at Tennessee History Day. They dedicated time outside of class to working up some very impressive projects. Congrats on representing Harding well.

3. The 7th grade New Orleans trip leaves soon (March 8). All 7th graders will attend a rules/orientation meeting during Homeroom on Tuesday. We hope to outline some of the important guidelines that will make sure everyone has an enjoyable trip.

4. For next year, all of our class trips for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will be moving to the fall (and the same week). Middle school will shut down for a week in October while all of our students head out for their trips. More communication will follow later, but be advised that information about those trips will begin by May due to the need to begin organizing sooner for fall trips.
