Take 5 and a Fun Day

The school year continues to rapidly accelerate towards the end, but we're still trying to manage as much learning, growth, and fun as we can in the time we have left.

Just this past week, the middle school Improv Drama Troupe "Take 5" put on their last performance of the year at White Station Lower School. The show was a hit! The lower school students were laughing and playing along in no time. Mrs. Aycock's group works hard to involved their audience in their shenanigans, all while creating the details to each sketch as they go along. It's truly a sight to behold.

Also this week, we enjoyed our penultimate Fun Day for the year. In this next-to-last installment, we had the Fridditch championships. Fridditch is the new sport created by Dr. Tim Stafford that involves elements of dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, and tag. Capping a year-long run of dominance, Grit 'n' Grind completed their undefeated season by defeating Wells House for first place in the championship. Stax won third place over Rendezvous; and River defeated Church to clinch fifth. Although there were some growing pains to learning the rules of the rather complex game, it provided many afternoons to enjoy the weather outside and exercise.
